in a closed curcuit such as something orbiting a sphere there is no real beginning or end. So since the earth is rotating around the sun and also spinning on an axis there is no real beginning for east. East is just the part of the earth that is coming into view of the sun and west is where the view of the sun is going away.

There is no real East. The Sun does not "rise". It looks like that because the Earth rotates while the Sun stays stationary. If and when the Earth starts to revolve in a different direction, the Sun may rise in the West.

What planet are you from?

East is always where the sun rises.(Because of how the earth is spinning while circling the sun
West is were the sunsets as we are moving around the sun.
There isn't really a beginning point becasue no one was around when the earth started to spin.
No matter where you are on the earth east and west don't change.

Actually the earth is turning what we have identified as clock-wise. While it is spinning it is rotating around the sun. As humans we identify to day and night along with where the sun is in the sky. We have attatched human words to explain day & night and so on. This is all from our prespective. Compared to the endless universe we are but a speck on a speck on a speck.

East is to west as left is to right. Only left and right are relative to you, while east and west is relative to a coordinate system on the Earth.
