I am about a week late for my period, but I tested negative yesterday on my home pregnancy test. Here's the conditions.
- My boyfriend was inside of me for 2 seconds, didn't *** (precum?) a couple days before ovulation
- I've been extremely stressed about getting pregnant. It would not be a good thing in my family.
- I've had no pregnancy symptoms exept swollen and tender breasts-- it always happend before my period though...
- My cervix is low and hard
- I have been sick for the past couple weeks

Do you think stress is delaying my period? I have never really kept track of my mentrual cycle... whats the latest your period has come?

hi there, i was in the same boat a week ago and i got my period in the end. At this time of trying to conceive we was busy decorating our home and myself and hubby felt the strain, so yes i believe it is possible for your period to be delayed from stress. i am regular as clockwork and go to show that a little stress can put you back a week. I also had tender breasts, sickness and increased vaginal discharge but now believe that this was just the run up to my period. with regards to how late your period would come is anybodies guess, all women are different and some women even miss a whole month. try not to worry as this really wont help, if nothing has happened in another week i would go see your gp. im sure all will be fine. wishing you well xxx

Stress can delay your period, you could be over trying for a baby. Also it could be hormonal. If you do not come on when you are 2 weeks over due and attend the doctors with a early morning urine sample and he/she will either do a test or a blood sample to see if you are pregnant.
I have been 48 weeks without a period, I have also had a period last 59 days of bleeding. I had 15 years off fertility treatment.

The latest my period ever came was 35 days.

Its probably stress and you are probably not preg. But why don't you get on birth control pills, patches, shots/injections, or the NuvaRing if you really don't want to get pregnant? This is a much better way of preventing pregnancy!

Plus you do know that pre-ejaculatory fluid contains sperm and can easily get you pregnant, right? This is why the withdrawal or pull-out method does NOT prevent pregnancy.

Good luck and I hope you get on the pill or something, sweetie.

I have lots of female problems due to stress. My doctor told me that stress affects your periods alot. Don't stress, because sometimes when you are so worried about something you make yourself think things that are not even a concern. Don't worry & enjoy life and retake a pregnacy test in a week or so.

Once infertility has been diagnosed, there are a number of treatment options available depending on the root cause of the problem. Learn here https://tr.im/38ZZc

Infertility is a condition defined as not being able to become pregnant after at least one year of unprotected, regular, well-timed intercourse. Women who suffer from multiple miscarriages may also be diagnosed as infertile. Infertility may be classified into two groups, primary and secondary infertility.

your stress is more that likely the reason for the delay. So as hard as it is don't worry and see what happens for the next week or so and if still no period... test again. I skipped an entire cycle one time for no reason and wasn't even sexually active so sometimes it's a mystery.

it could be stress or u could be pregnant best thing for u to do is go to ur doctors and explain everything to him/her and get a blood test done, ur mum n dad wont find out as the doctor can not discus u without ur permission and it does not matter if he didn't come inside of u as he would of released a little bit of sperm before ejaculation and that is enough to get u pregnant

ur period may just be late sometimes associated with stress....but allow a week to pass by and take a test again---the best test out there are "first response" not sure which one u used----but try testing again.
