do u mean the actual game is free or the online access is free, i used to play diablo 2 very often a couple years back and the game costs 20 bucks, but the online access is free
it is such a great game and totally worh it

however if you are into games that could possibly leave you with no social life try runescape, it is addicting and is free, however to access some worth while special features on the game a membership fee must be payed... but for casual gaming it is free, fun and easy to use!

I'm not positive about this, but try addictinggames.com. they usually have fun games that are multiplayer. Also, If you sign up for games.com, you can play against people across the country!

Try Adventure Quest, or Dragon Fable. I've never played Runescape, but I heard it was good. Also, if you're looking for virtual pet sites, definitely try Neopets or Zetapets.
