I hate to say this but you need to upgrade both. Even if you have a 1g ram, with a crappy card it won't run well. Just as if you get a good card but with a lowsy ram, it still won't run well either. Most games now require a minimum 512mb ram and a 128mb card that can do shading. The ideal system should have at least a 2ghz processor, 1gb ram and a 256mb card such as an ATI Radeon X700 Pro or equivelant. I run the above specs and can play online games with very minimal lag. I hope this helps.

Yes. The current games are designed to run on a specific graphics card (or better). If you have an outdated graphics card, it makes your computer work harder on graphics, making other elements in the game slow down. If purchasing a new one is too expensive, I'd recommend playing the game on the lowest graphics setting possible.

The extra memory you've, the further the game can use to strengthen fps. RAM is extra important in case you want larger fps. in case you want looks, flow with the images card. To the remark below, maximum computers in difficulty-free words use below 1GB of Ram for recreation applications. something of a computers RAM is dispensed between different applications. The extra RAM you've accessible, the further you are able to implement into your video games at the same time as having sufficient Ram to finish your computers necessary applications. The extra RAM you've, the better it is to run the game easily at larger resolutions.
