Your idea of a perfect person.

Good question. Here's the answer:

"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Matthew 5:48

God has commanded all men to be perfect, but just what does "perfect" mean here? Certainly God does not expect any of us to achieve the impossible, He is reasonable and understands that we are only humans. We have all made mistakes at some point in life, we all grow and learn and will never cease to do so. So, since perfection is defined as the quality of something that is as good or suitable as it can possibly be, it's easy to resolve since we, as human beings, will never reach a point where we stop growing and learning, such perfection seems unattainable. But the bible teaches that the thing God is concerned with is our hearts ("But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts." 1 Thes. 2:4). So what He is asking of us, is a perfect heart. By sending His only son Jesus to die on the cross for us, He made true perfection possible, whereas in the OT it was not possible for the blood of animals to remove sin, only to cover it (see Heb. 10:4). Now, because of Christ, we are able to walk absolutely sinless before God- in fact, we are commanded to do so! “She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” John 8:11, if it was possible for that former adulteress to stop sinning, it is possible for us as well.

God sees sin in black and white- either you are his child through salvation, or you are a lost sinner by selfishly refusing to obey His commandments. It takes just one sin to corrupt the heart, but salvation through Christ purges away all sin. And if a heart is sinless, it cannot become anymore sinless, it is perfect. This is what God has asked of all men, He desires that all forsake selfishness, confess Him is Lord and Savior and walk obediently, so that He, as their Father, can, in turn love, nourish and bless them as children.
“And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:” Acts 17:30

What about those who sin after they are saved?
Like I said, one sin corrupts the heart (For the wages of [all/any] sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Rom. 6:23). If we choose to sin after we are saved (although, repentance means a total turn around, and we should, by all means, strive to “sin no more”), we have fallen away again and need to confess that sin and ask Christ’s forgiveness, if we do this, the sin is washed away. “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:” 1 John 2:1.
James 4:19,20 teach that a Christian who sins becomes a sinner- “Brethren (to the Christians), if any of you do err from the truth (sin), and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converted the sinner (a former believer is called a sinner here) from the error of his way shall save a soul from (spiritual) death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.”
One cannot live in sin and live up to God’s standards of perfection at the same time, and if it is God’s standard that He has set for us, then we are fully capable of living up to it, for God as our Creator understands our limitations and would not be so unjust as to command of us the impossible then punish us for not accomplishing it.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

Some people will say "no such thing as perfection" Then there will be the "religionists" who will say "Only god is perfect" Well, you can't do much with that s ort of answer. I think "perfection" is an image that most of us have in our own inner mind, which a person may not even be able to a ctually verbalize, but whatever it is, it is going to be something that is beyond what w e can ever expect to have in an imperfect world, among fellow humans who are, after all, as flawed as we are ourselves. I mean my own idealistic c oncept is a world in which people live in harmony, where honesty, sincerity, empathy, concern and genuine love are "the norm" rather than something that takes u s totally by surprise when we suddenly run into it because these days it has become so darn rare. A world where we aren't forever sniping at other people and hurling insults at them because they don't happen to share our own personal beliefs. I'd like a crimefree world, but ha ha ha to that one. I would love to think of a world where there's no serious illness that doctor's can't get us through and back to health, like it never even happened. Perhaps there is a chance of that someday, but certainly not in any of our lifetimes. I guess that whatever we think of as "perfection" by very definition is something that we haven't already got, and not very likely to have. But that being the case, I just try to be very very grateful for whatever I do have that I love, appreciate and feel very blessed to have it.

Many, some years in the past a theory, actual interior the form of a question, entered my head, and looked as though it would take up place of residing. It pervaded my information interior the main ordinary style, and that i all started using this theory to each form of things of my existence, form of 'attempting out' it, with the point to speak. the belief became : "Does questioning it so, make it so ?" It did bring about some very profound ameliorations in my existence, and that i will now 'see' that this theory became the particularly beginning of my quest to understand extra. I actual have lined loads of floor interior the 20 or so years when you consider that then. the two bodily and mentally, and definitely meta-bodily, or, in case you like 'spiritually'. between the customary and maximum customary questions of 'real' technological expertise, is how does the ability of which each and every thing is composed get to be 'solidified', how does it actually develop into 'depend' ? It finally dawned on me that what might seem to be the least probable answer ought to be, by way of a sort of Holmesian ability of removal, applicable, and that that's that the very functionality of human theory that actual crystalises power into textile manifestation. We merely decrease the vibrational frequency of the completely and infinitely ample power this is all around us, until 'stuff' seems. We 'think of', and if we carry that photograph that we predict of long sufficient, and with sufficient 'skill', ultimately it comes into being. So, confident, in an particularly 'real' and literal sense 'techniques' maximum easily do 'exist', if we provide them sufficient skill. in certainty, it is so genuine to me now, that i eventually understood that my question that one and all started me off all those years in the past, ought to, like maximum issues, be grew to become the different way as much as be appropriate understood. "without theory, no-'undertaking' may be so" {{{{{{{{{{Cosmic techniques}}}}}}}}}}}}

In persia, where some of the best and most expensive carpets in the world come from, some very skilled carpet makers there purposely put a "mistake" in their weaving so that the carpet is not perfect. They do this because they believe only god is perfect.

my idea of perfection is the ability to embrace and be open about your imperfections: in short, the ability to be absolutely yourself with no doubts or shame. Your imperfections are what make you perfectly you.
