Canadian Geese protect them-self in a number of ways. By flocking together they easily avoid being singled out by predators. Commonly while in said clocks, they migrate south, taking up residence everywhere but Canada.(there are actually more Canadian geese in America, and South America than in Canada, which is why small children often ask, "mommy, why don't Canadiann geese ever fly back to Canadia?") When singled out by a predator, and not in the protective cover of the flock, a Canadian goose will spread its wings full span and flap them, while honking as loud as a Mac truck, and charging the predator like a freight train.

They'll start by hissing at you while walking toward you. If you get too close, they'll bite you, especially if they have goslings. Strictly speaking, they're "Canada Geese" not canadian geese.

They chase you, flapping their wings, and honking like crazy.
If they get close enough, they can (and will) pinch you good with their beak.
They aren't dangerous, but they are tenacious and bad tempered.
It's a funny thing to watch happen to someone else.
