you should be able to tell your boss and they will start the paperwork for you. you have to know that generally they do not send you to the best doctors. so you have to be very active as a patient and do research about your condition and know what to expect as far as treatment/surgery etc. i had a similar wrist problem and let me tell you work. comp. is a pain in the butt way to go but it is our only choice. i regret all the hard work i put into the company i worked for. when it comes right down to it, we can all be easily replaced. after my surgery my doctor could not release me to go back to doing the work i was doing before so i had to change careers. a very tough move but your job is obligated to help you make that transition if you are unable to work in that field any longer. best of luck to you and this road of fixing your wrists.
