I must agree with Walter R above. It's not funny what has happened to the Democratic party, it's a sin. It was the party of the middle class and is now the party of the elite leftists. The middle class in America has no party to support them. The Republicans remain the party of the wealthy. None of their core beliefs benefit the common working person. This isn't a slam on the Republican party. They fill a need in our political system.

You make a good point. The democrats, who used to be the champion of "the least of these," workers, women, blacks, all other minorities, let us include everyone to make life better for us all, etc. have lost their voice and their cohones. They have been shouted down by the opposition. Al Gore had his campaign managed so badly that although he won the popular vote by 5,000,000, it looked like he lost. Then democrats weeded out all clear voices in 2004 and chose John Kerry, a fellow Skull and Bones! member with G.W. and both loyal to Bush Sr., and he ended up deliberately throwing the fight with an incomprehensible me too message, that was easily defeated by Dubbya. At a most critical moment in our history, when democrats need to really be the opposition and represent the majority of the citizens that oppose what we are doing and have become, I still haven't heard a clear and bold democratic voice to state the easy case. What is wrong with them? Have they all been bought off? Or do they not care? Pathetic might be a very good word for what they are doing. Or is it just that we have the best politicians that money can buy? I feel we must vote democratic now to stop what Bush is doing, but most of them are making it difficult.

My name is rightwinger yet I believe that I once would have been a Democrat. I am OK with gay rights, I am pro choice, believe in sexual freedom overall, was once in a rock band, have been a union member in the past, my grandfather was a farmer, my father a printer. All of these things made me the stereotype Democrat.
However since I believe very strongly in a viable military, gun rights and do not wish to be taxed to death I am a Republican. It seems like the politically correct Democrats are the party that wishes to end personal freedoms. Did it not used to be the other way around?

"I just laugh at what a joke that party has become."
I cry. I voted for 'em until '72 and only for Republicans since then. Ever since they totally lost their way with the "leadership" of the morons from the '60s, they've been going further and further downhill.
I mean, really, John Kerry for President of the United States?!? The Moron from Massachusetts is little more than a suit, shave, and a haircut - there's almost NOTHING in that head of his - he's a cipher in his own party, for crissakes!

You don't really have any reasons, do you? They are pathetic in that they can't win a national election when it is handed to them on a platter (and this has been the case since 1984 - except fir Clinton).
Any party that cannot defeat the criminally insane, pathologically lying Republican party is, indeed, pathetic. However, at least they still care about the US Constitution, personal freedom, and individual liberty, which is a lot more than can be said of the republican party since it has been taken over by conservative white-trash Christian scum.

Why are the Republicans? What about the Independents? The Green Party? All politicians lie. All politicos are interested in one thing and always have been. Money, how to get it, keep it, and not screw everybody over so blatantly that it attracts unwarranted attention.

Because don't have plan to move America forward. They are to concerned about pleasing France and the UN. They should be concerned what is best for this country, after all this where they live, whether they like it or not.

Its no longer that they are jealous, Dems in basic terms have a demanding time accepting data. EDIT: i'm getting drained of persons bashing Reagan for his previous job and shortage of political occupation. seem at Lincoln, who we may be able to all agree replaced right into a astonishing and magnificent chief. •1831 - lost his job •1832 - Defeated in run for Illinois State Legislature •1833 - Failed in business enterprise •1835 - Sweetheart died •1836 - Had apprehensive breakdown •1838 - Defeated in run for Illinois residing house Speaker •1843 - Defeated in run for nomination for U.S. Congress •1848 - lost re-nomination •1849 - Rejected for land officer position •1854 - Defeated in run for U.S. Senate •1856 - Defeated in run for nomination for vice chairman •1858 - back defeated in run for U.S. Senate •1861 - Sparked a Civil conflict failures advise no longer something, mediocrity ability no longer something. @ mommanuke -He armed the Mujahedeen to end Russia advancing into the Oil areas of the middle-East. a sensible flow that DID have repercussions, yet on the instantaneous necessary. -He tripled the debt, yet presented extra reward to anybody -Employers must have extra means over workers. How the hell do you assume business enterprise to live on if the vendors are owned by technique of the staff. common liberal backpedaling, it makes no sense in any way! And workers DO have means over workers now, its retarded to imagine otherwise.

Will you still be laughing if the democrats take control of the house on November 7th.
I used to laugh at the republicans but the more people who died because of their inaction, the less funny they became.
