YES.....Polygamy should be legalized. WE have other things in this country to worry about than who is sleeping with whom.

No and No, furthermore its just the Government saying Polygamy is Illegal Its Religious Organizations and Institutions.
You should ask a Better Question why is the Church is on the same Page as the State on Polygamy and Same Sex Relationships.

Having served one wife for 36 years I think I must point out to you that I feel you are a little nuts. I can't imagine having more than one wife; nor could I afford more than one. In point of fact I know that women do not share with others well, especially a husband. I have six daughters so I know that this sharing thing only extends to the females sharing what I have in my wallet or garage. There is an old saying, "One wife, One car, One house".

Sure, if two women agree and are ok with being with the same man, then why not? I don't see anything wrong with it as long as everyone's ok with it then they should be allowed.
I would never want to be in a relationship like that, though.

Polygamy is a cult and it is discusting to brainwash young teenagers into thinking it is ok to be with a man 3 times her age and have sexual relatiions and continue to make babies. NO it should not be legalized. Didn't you see the news, they finally caught the #1 man who was in charge of one of the largest cults breeding young girls with old discusting men. My strong opinion is if you want more than one partner, stay single, enjoy your life, and practice safe sex. If you are ready for a one on one commitment, when you meet that special someone, get married and stay true to that one man. If you are having thoughts about other men, you do not belong in a relationship. Everyone at one point ends up getting hurt.

This setup usually defrauds the government through multiple welfare, WICK, food stamp and medicaid payments. Even if fraud weren't an issue, marriage is a legal bond. Who defines the law? A government of "the people," most of whom denounce polygamy.

Or a woman to be married to more than one man...let's be egalitarian here!
You'd have some complicated legalities involved in terms of taxation (who claims who as a dependent?) and inheritances, amongst others....but can't really see why polyamory is much more complicated than a same-sex relationship that's not protected by a legal civil union/comparable.
There's a number of folks having "quiet" multi- relationships, but without legal protections. I suppose if you don't draw the attention of the neighbors very obviously (i.e., everyone's a consenting adult), it wouldn't be too much hassle. But don't expect public OKs soon----MAYBE in 50 years or so?

When you talk about polygamy in the legal sense, it's against the law.
Morally, it's up for the participating parties to sort that out.

No it is wrong. And for MightyMax, Mormons haven't practiced poligamy in over 125 years. Get over it.

It's the government just controlling our lives a little more. One day the government will tell us tell us when to get up what to put on and what to think. I think that yahoo is helping the government in controlling our lives.
