I love all John Lennon songs. Imagine was a particularly beautiful example of his song writing. Not all of his songs were so positive. A day in the life is one of my favourites as it's so challenging to the ear but also amazing if listened to properly. Also everything he wrote on the Abbey Road album is worth a second listen..

In My Life.....there are places I remember in my life though some have changed....but for all these friends and lovers there is no one compares with you and the memories lose their meaning when I think of love as something new....in my life, I've loved you more. Yeah, Paul wrote it too, but it's still a Lennon song.

I also like Imagine - it was my senior class song in 1997. I like all Beatles music, but not sure otherwise about just Lennon songs.

I've always liked 'I am the Walrus' (I know it was co-written with Paul Mccartney, but it still counts!). Any song that requires the singer to declare that 'I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus, goo-goo gajoob' scores many points from me. I long for the day when Placido Domingo gives it a go.
If you like this song, have a look for Frank Zappa's live cover version - nutterly mental, and Eric Idle's The Rutles's spoof 'I am the Waitress (Piggy in the Middle) - even more utterly mental.
