3rd baby born Dec. 05. Since then, little incidents have caused my wife to "spin" out of control. She has accused me of a number of things: kill her 4x (knife, screwdriver, shovel), being a homosexual, adultery, trying to hurt the children, etc. She has left me 3x taking the children. She has acted extremely irrational in all of this... reasonable responses are not allowed by me. She filed for d. and moved in w/parents.

You might want to talk to your wife's doctor and maybe her parents too. If they love their daughter and can also see the changes in her then they would probably work with you to help her. There is this rare thing called post partum psychosis that "could be" affecting your wife. I too have had three children and have gone through post partum depression and have also had time in my life when I have been suicidal. Your wife does not sound like she is in control and would benefit from some type of intervention. She also sounds like she might be paranoid. There are a number of different psychological factors that seem to be present here, I would suggest that you and her parents do not waste time in getting her help. It may be difficult given the current situation but if you really care then start with a call to her doctor. He/she won't be able to really discuss her because of privacy laws but I have found that they will listen to what you tell them and if warranted they will act on the information. I hope that everything works out for the both of you and your children. Mental illness can escalate really quickly so please for all of your sakes don't wait to find help.

I agree with what Tammy says AND don't leave her alone with the children!

You can call 911 if she flips out and gets dangerous to herself or others. THey will take her to a mental hospital. (they aren't such bad places. Much nicer than on TV.)

Call her doctor NOW! ENlist the supoport of her parents or friends if necessary.

I would say that post partum is a definate possibility.....in any case If she is that irrational and what she is saying is completely false then you need to take measures to ensure that your children are safe. Good Luck!

I think she has gone off the deep end.. She needs to go to the doctor and get some help. She doesn't need to be carry for her child if she trips out like this. Maybe talk to her parents.
