Well, I like to play the 'worst case senario' game. What's the worst that could happen if you mess up or are not good enough? You don't make the team. What if you don't try out for the team? You don't make the team. Not much difference there. Might as well go for it! Besides, coaches and players love effort (especially defensive). Play harder than everyone else. That's something you can't mess up, because it's entirely controlled by you. Do that and you're a lock!

well i'll put it like this. you are 15 and 6'0". im 18 at just 6'2" so you are pretty much taller than the majority of the people you play with/against. so what you should do is make your opponents feel intimidated with your height for starters. When you play, just think aggressive the whole time. You'll get your defensive game going, start blocking shots, and soon, you'll feel very confident in yourself.

I'm certain that - if the truth be known - your future teammates are just as intimidated as you are. Just as long as the "fear" doesn't control you - and the mistakes you'll be making don't keep you from playing as hard as you can - you'll be fine. Take that feeling of intimidation and make it work for you instead of against you. MAKE your opponent prove that he's the better player by playing your "A" game every game - and encourage your teammates to play their "A" game as well. YOU can't be beat if you WON'T be beat!

Try creating, in your mind, an alternative image for those you feel intimidated by. Imagine that last night his mother put on a bow tie and dragged him by the ear to violin class or sent him to bed without dinner because he wouldn't let his little sister play with her new doll until he tried all the outfits on it first, and he went!
You KNOW that everyone has some little secret. Just create one that fits him and go with it.

It's all about additude. Go in there thinking your the best player on the court and play like there is no tomorrow. You obviosly have the height, so use that to your advantage. Don't let anyone see your scared (even if you are), your opponent will use it against you if you do.

the best for you is not to be threatened, you should be practicing with the person better than you to improve your game, maybe you should try and show a little intimidation toward them to syck them out.Keep your head up and practice endlessly till you cant stand and you too soon will be the INTIMIDATOR.lol rock on!

Just remember that those are just regular people....probably just like you. There is nothing special about them. They are just out there to play the game like you are. And they are probably intimidated by you actually...you're so tall!

Practice more. The more you practice the better you get. Also you must practice with people better and lose before you start to win. Even MJ got better this way. Also copy MJ, AI and Kobe's moves.
