If George Bush wins the presidency, I will move out of the USA.
Well he won, twice, so why hasn't Alec Baldwin moved yet? Why do celebraties make stupid threats like that then not go through with them? (Not a forum to bash Bush, plenty of those out there

Because like most celebrities, Baldwin is full of crap. He does not have the nerve to back up what he says and never will. He is an overweight, overpaid, bad actor who needs his name is the press like everyone else. If he moved, he would lose so mush money because he would not be able to find his kind of work anywhere else.

They make the threats to get their name in the press. Baldwin hasn't many any good movies in a while, so he needed to let everyone know he was still out there.

He and his wife (Kim Basinger), Barbra Streisand, Lynn Redgrave, Cher, Robert Altman, Eddie Vedder, and Pierre Salinger, Kennedy press secretary (the only one to make good on his promise now lives in France). More grandstanding, dishonest political rhetoric to use their celebrity influence on the masses.

why would we care about "celebritys"?a bunch of overpaid numb minded, and self blinded with their own importance, yet Americans ooh and ahh! over the limp wristed sissys of stage and screen! Alec Baldwin is an abuser of his ex and child? so his opinion is ranked above pond scum in my book!

You're right. Robert Redford said the same thing. The Glenn Beck show bought him a one way, first class ticket to Canada. Of course he's still here with the rest of his Hollywood liberal buddies whining like a mule.

Altman, Babs, Baldwin, and others all swore they'd leave the country. None did.
They have no honor and no pride, that's why they are liberals. They broke their own oath.

I don't care for hypocrites, either. However, most celebrities maintain several homes in exotic and pricey places around the world. Everyone has the prerogative to change their mind. My rule? Never threaten anything you can't follow through on.

Yeah, they say this kind of stuff to drum-up publicity for themselves. What's so bad is that THEY KNOW they aren't going to leave regardless of who wins, because as much as they complain, they still know the US is where they can keep making themselves wealthier and wealthier. They don't care about a president, and them giving their "word" means even less to them. They have no honor, pride, dignity, or integrity.
