firm not turning up?

i raelise the i did not give enough information previously, the firm game me a letter saying that they would turn up between 8 and 9 in the morning, i took the morning off work, they didn1t turn up even though i phoned 3 times, each time i was tild they were on their way, they are coming back to do the job later in the week, believe me, i really want to cancel, but with various situations i would not get the job done this side of christmas by anybody else, so i don`t want to cut my nose off to spite my face, which is why, when i do pay i want to withold part of my payment for the wasted morning i spent waiting for them to arrive

I just had the same problem with a famous toy company, I got my delivery charge refunded but it took a threat of small claims court to even get that

I find this sort of thing SOOOO annoying.

But I don't think there's much you can do apart from not using them again and naming and shaming them on the internet
