anyone know how to replace a knock sensor and/or it's location on the engine block? For a 98 legacy GT?

It is located to the right of the throttle body(drivers side).It has a 1 or 2 wire connector and a bolt with a 12mm head. Connector is usually white,but have seen some gray.

1st make sure any dirt and sand is cleaned away from the sensor so when you unbolt it the dirt wont go into the bolt hole and cause you to cross thread the bolt.Remove the bolt and usually is a wire tie holding the wire to a small coolant hose.Then disconnect connector.Install in reverse order making sure you start the bolt by hand. Tighten bolt to about 14 ft lbs or a little tighter than you would a spark plug.
