memory upgrades are one of the simplest to do and the cheapest, first go to http://www.crucial.com/,and scan your system, this will give you a report on what memory modules you need to buy for your system
as you only have 256mb at the moment i would recommend you increase by either another 256mb or 512mb,this would make your p.c run smoother and applications work better
a 256mb module would cost you from around £25 for a kingston value module to £50 for a better make such a corsair, and a 512mb module will cost £40 for a kingston value to £70 for more expensive modules
tip: use kingston value modules, theres no difference except the name...i use kingston...very good
good luck

yes obviously u can increase ur PC RAM
just view the motherboard configuration and see how much MHz of RAM as it comes in diff. MHz
u can get a new 256MB RAM 4 around 1200-1500 INR. depending upon the MHz
there r 2 slots ,on second 1 u can add the additional RAM
upto 400MHz DDR RAM
above 400MHz RAM is known as DDR2 RAM

The only problem you have is that if the PC new then you should take it back to the shop and exchange for a better one. The reason for this is, is if it´s brand new and you open it up it will void your guarantee making useless if anything goes wrong with it. If not then the answer is yes you can upgrade your ram.

yes, you can increase it, by buying a peice of equipment called a RAM card, however you need to check what type of RAM card you computer uses, so you don't buy the wrong one. I'd say a 256mb card would run you at least $80, also you need to be aware of the speed of the ram chip.

Yes you can increase it. It's not expensive if you buy the Ram and put it in yourself. But if you can't do that then maybe the place you bought it from would do an upgrade (put in more Ram) for you for not too much money. Good luck

Yeah that is not enough ram for much these days. Upgrade it to at least 512Mb if not a 1Gb. you should be able to buy another 256 fairly cheap now. Below I put a link for newegg.com's memory of 256 - cheap (under like $40) but even Best Buy or circuit city might have memory that cheap. good Luck!

You can increase upwards to 2 GB if the motherboard supports it. Most likely it does seeing how it's a new pc. Go here for options... http://www.geeks.com It's fairly cheap, and dependable!

edit your question with the type of ram you need
if it's a newer system you could go up to 1 gig of memory for under $100
