If someone has become a celebrity by saving someone's life through heroic means then let them enjoy their moment of fame.

If someone becomes a celebrity by claiming in a tabloid that they slept with footballer/movie star/singer then they are definately NOT better than anyone else and are in fact worse in my eyes.

No because they have issues. You have to be a certain kind of person to succeed in being so successful at something that you are famous. You have to want the fame much more than anything else in your life - you have to crave it and be willing to sacrifice everything for it. This usually means they have low self esteem and need the admiration of everyone in order to feel self worth. This is one of the reasons that a lot of celebs do drugs - they don't feel they are adequate just as they are. Beneath the make up, the starvation, the expensive clothes, they're just like us. I think it's sad that kids today strive to be pop stars and models when in order to be truly satisfied in life they should stick in at school and get a good job, a loving partner and be happy in themselves.

HAH they wish!!

We are living the life, not only do they deal with stress of the tabloids etc, and plus the fact that they are soo greedy that they only wear a dress once. They have to have a makeover person over before they go out! They are stranded and stalked... No wonder why some have to go into rehab...

I used to think otherwise but I was just kidding myself!

What did you say the name of yesterday's celebrity was?

No they are not. They are just well-known and have more money. In many cases their fame has warped their view of themselves, others and the world, which leads to a deterioration in their characters and behaviours, hence they may actually be worse than us.

No way, honey! The only difference between them and us is the number of Benjamins they make. They eat, sleep, go to the bathroom, dream, cry, die just like the rest of us.

no, they like to think they are as they have more money, but i have a happy marriage, a beautiful daughter, nice house, a dog and all my bills get paid and the bonus is...i am happy and grateful for what i have, some celebs have money but they don't have the love and happiness i do.
(whats the point having all that money if your going to be miserable because of it?)

no- they are just like us. They are people. The only difference is that they happen to be in a profession where the publicity, pay, and famousness is ridiculous. They are not worthy of our constant admiration.

Of course not, they just assume they are because they have money, like everything else, nothing lasts forever and neither do they.
