Assuming that you have a decent Website (e.g., not porn or hate, no broken links, and more than 1 page of content), the quickest and most assured way of being found by Yahoo is to purchase "Yahoo! Directory Submit" (link below). It will cost you $299 a year, but it will put you "on the map" for both Yahoo and Google.

BTW, if your site isn't in good shape (broken links, bad or non-existent content), they'll keep your $299 but not list your site. That's the agreement you make when you do your submission. So, make sure that your site is "ready for prime time" when you submit it.

Good luck!

Hi M T,

Submitting your site to search engines won't help you, you need to read up about 'Search Engine Optimisation' (or SEO for short).

The best way for Yahoo (or any other search engine) to find your site is via a few links. Because this question gets asked so much here at Yahoo! Answers, I've written a basic guide to SEO which is freely available for download at http://www.adambunn.co.uk/seo-beginners.php

Sometimes you will get away with the basic knowledge in my little book and sometimes you will need a lot more help from a professional; it all depends on what market you are in.

Good luck!

If you will share your website address with me I'll take a look and see if there's anything glaringly wrong with it.

After looking at the source code with a set of diagnostic programs, I can tell you the site is invisible to the search engines. None of your text or links are visible because there is a break in your html coding. You will need to have this fixed before there will be any improvement.
