Wondering about the top school that is known for its accounting program. The one where you ask interviewers around the country and they would point to this one, thanks

The best accounting programs are at the schools that have the best business schools. Most of the top business schools (Harvard, Duke, Dartmouth, Columbia, etc) don't have undergraduate B-Schools.

The best undergraduate business schools are:

1. Wharton (U of Pennsylvania)
2. Sloan (MIT)
3. Haas (UC-Berkeley)
4. University of Michigan
5. NYU
6. McIntyre (U of VA)
7. Kenan-Flagler (UNC)

The number one school for accountancy majors is Northern Illinois University. This school also has the number one first time pass rate on the CPA exam. The professors in the department, who also actively teach and do not use TA's include(d): Richard Baker, Patrick DeLaney, and Don Kieso. All of these professors have written intermediate and advanced financial accounting texts which are used in most schools throughout the U.S. - including Harvard and Princeton.
