Actually don't use your friends as clientel... they will start to avoid you. Then you lose friends.
You can hand out booklets or whatever sale info you have at grocery stores, train stations, libraries, etc. There was an avon girl that use to stand at a suburban train station during every scheduled stop in the morning, one day a month -whenever she got her new catalog. I thought that was a great idea! She got every working woman, on a long train ride to the city, looking at her catalog with her info written on it to order from. And a lot of us actually looked forward to it every month. lol
A once a month day outside the grocery store could pick up a lot of people.

mary kay is really hard work! they have great products but reorder isn't that high and most people already know someone that sells it. i work from home with an awesome company. they have close to 400 products and most people haven't heard of them yet. i earned a check my first month-really! and best of all, i'm not a sales person! message me if you'd like to know more.
