dont just answer strech i really need help on this on caz in gymn. im with the really little kids and i want ot move up but all i need to learn are the splits and have to stand on a handstand

Do pre-stretches, stretching one leg at a time..such as lunges, and also squat on one leg and hold the other out infront of you. Do light bounces (read VERY LIGHT) and have a spotter gently ( VERY GENTLY) push down as you slide into the position.

Which way are you doing the splits? With your legs to your sides? Try mastering them with one leg in the front and one in the back first...Really streching is THE BEST ANSWER!

Well stretching is a big part of that... you have to stretch those legs constantly so that you will one day be able to drop on down, but really you have to strecth and its gonna hurt a little and you're gonna feel like youre going to rip in between...

just go a little at a time. start out slow and then keep moving down. it is going to hurt a lot tho. do this every day and you will do the splits in no time!

ok heres a few stretches u can do

1. pretend like ur doing a split (side split,whichever way) and put ur back leg straight behind u and break ur front leg infront of u ....like ur lunging but ur front leg is down on the ground...

then try to put ur head down to where ur knee is (on ur front leg)...

do a few repitions of this with both sides of the legs till ur stretched enough.

2. keep stretching like the usual P.E. ways with ur leg inside and ur other leg out to the side.just keep trying to put ur head towards ur leg and than towards the floor for more stretch...

3. stradle on the floor and strecth from side to side...to middle and try to have something infront of u and try grabbing it....(no cheating,keep it like a few feet infront of u ;) )

4. just have fun and do it evry night b4 u go to sleep....dont over stretch urself or u might rip a muscle...

get a trainner he/she will show you the proper way. So you can learn how to do it quickly.
