Soooooo, let me get this straight. You didn't even know what in the world scuffing the ball was but when you responded to another users' question about asking if Kenny Rogers cheated or not, you had to act all hard and say no.
Another thing...if the Cardinals are losers, would they honestly be in the World Series? Think not. If they are, then why are they playing the Tigers. Does that not in a sense make them losers too?
I do believe that you need to get all of your facts straight before criticizing something that you have no idea about, honey. Especially since you had to ASK someone what scuffing the ball meant.

The t.v. showed him to have a substance on his hand that looked like pine tar. If it was pine tar he was using it to get a better grip on the ball since there was alot of humidity. That's different than scuffing the ball although they are both considered cheating. Scuffing the ball is when you rub the ball with your nail or some people actually use sandpaper to make the leather on the ball fuzzy by scratching it. When the the ball is scuffed the part that is standing up catches wind as it is in flight and makes the ball move alot more. Kenny Rogers probably needs to do something like this since he totally sucks.

He wasn't scuffing the ball. He was rubbing pine tar on it to get a better grip and to create more wind resistance on one side of the ball. This will cause the ball to have move movement than normal due to the uneven airflow around it. Is this considered cheating? Absolutely.

the baseball is a sphere, when the surface of the sphere is altered so is it's path. a scuff on a ball using nail file, sandpaper whatever will cause the ball to "break" (move sharply) and likely make the batter miss it. Rogers allegedly had pine tar on his hand which is illegal, he would have been using it to get a better grip on the ball in the cold weather

Scuffing the ball means he putting movement on the ball. His movement was caused by the illegal substance pine tar. To bad.
Thank You

He had pine tar on his hand. And i really don't think it's that big of a deal. I mean he washed it off and still pitched 7 scoreless innings. Kenny Rogers is a great pitcher.

He rubbed it on his goiter. Good grief, it means the ball was scratched with a finger nail or something.
