Well im 18 years old,and when i was 16 me and my cousin got drunk from her dads liquor (my uncle).I really am sincerley sorry for what I did,I realize it was wrong.I apologized to him and from then on I have been trying everything I can to right the wrong I did..But he still wont talk to me, and he wont let me and my cousin hang out.I wish I knew something else I could do to get him to forgive me,do you have any suggestions?

I think hes angry because he use to drink alcohol everyday,but then since he found out his daughter was drinking alot...he stopped drinking.He may be blaming me,because he realized he has a drinking problem just recentley.

First of all....you didn't force his son to drink, he should put the blame on his son, second after you apologized to him, and he hasn't forgiven you ( for nothing wrong you did) just move on..your heart was in the right, remember NOT to follow his actions in your future, if you face the same problems...don't become him...have a good life...we all do silly things when we were in our teens, Now don't keep holding on in this your letting this stress you out....Remember you didn't do nothing WRONG..

It may just take time. He may also feel that your apology is not sincere- or he still sees immaturity in your actions since then. Is there something that happened when you were drunk that he may still be holding a grudge about? A party/ property damage etc.? It seems like there should be something else that he's angry about, since the incident was two years ago. You may just have to let him get over it in his own time. Until then, focus on making your life as good as it can be, and maybe at some point, he may see you as an adult worthy of his respect and forgiveness...good luck!

Is that all?! If he's not talking to you after two years just for getting drunk and using his liquor he must be a really grumpy, evil old miser. I wouldn't want forgiveness from someone like that as they wouldn't be worth it!

Just playing. Forget about him. You've already done your part. If he is unwilling to forgive you (as if he is all mighty and can do no wrong) then there really is nothing you can do about it, other than wait until he is ready to accept you again. Sorry.

Time, that's all you can do. Sometimes it just takes time for someone to get over something that (to you) may not seem that bad, but to a parent who does everything they can to protect their children, it means a HELL of a lot.
Just let him be upset and one day he'll get over it. It may not be as long as you'd like, but it'll happen.

Not much you can do but apoligize. Why is he making such a big deal over it. Just give him time and maybe he will realize everyone makes mistakes. If he doesn't, don't let it bother you. Get on with your life.

There's nothing else you can do once you've appologized. Keep going on with your life and maybe one day he'll get over it.
Besides, that might not be the only reason he doesn't like you.

hes just a jerk. one day he'll do something that is going to make someone he loves mad enough not to talk to him and he'll realize what forgiveness should be...
