I am thinking of buying a horse over the internet. I would like some opinions before I do anything. What is the best site to buy a horse through? Thank you for your answers!

I used an on-line classified add to buy my horse with, but I went to do a test ride before I bought him, and it turned out he was a great horse. I used
www.dreamhorse.com.
www.agdirect.com
www.warmbloods-for-sale.com are good ones also.
But as for buying sight unseen, I wouldn't ever do that.

I have bought several horses via the internet, and have sold many over the internet also. BE CAREFUL is all I can say, I have extreme good luck with buying, and selling, but I know what questions to ask and know if a seller 'sounds like' they are honest or not.
Also, try to get a lot of pictures, and a video if possible and ASK QUESTIONS. If you are a beginner, I would say to only look at horses IN YOUR AREA that you can make an appt. and GO SEE with a trainer or someone who does know horses. DO NOT go alone to buy a horse if you are a novice.
I like AGDIRECT, Horsetopia, and Equine dot com as sites to look to buy, or to sell horses.
Good luck.

You really shouldn't buy a horse over the internet, but if you still want to buy a horse over the internet then here are some good sites.

www.equine.com
www.ehoof.com
www.agdirect.com
www.horsetopia.com
www.equinehits.com
www.dreamhorse.com
www.netequine.com
www.horseville.com

I haven't bought a horse, but I have sold 2 of them on the internet. Just make sure you don't jump the gun. Find out everything you need to know before you buy. Watch out for horse traders as in my experience I have found them to be very dishonest. Good luck!

buying a horse over the internet should be no big deal as long as you go & try them out before finalizing the purchase. Try looking around your area also. Here are some websites to help you:

www.equine.com

You can use the internet to locate horses that match your criteiria, but you should never buy a horse you have never seen in person. And a vet check is usualy a good idea.
Dream horse and equine.com are good.

Do not buy a horse without meeting it first. I have looked at buying horses and thought they sounded a looked awesome. Then I met them and thanked the Lord that I met them first. I would not do it if I were you. Horse are very unpredictable and they are a huge investment. Just be careful.

Wow that would be risky I would think. I bought a motorcycle through the Internet and it wasn't as good as I thought it would be but at least I was able repair and ride it. I'm not sure you could repair and ride a broken horse.
