You realize, of course, this is .05% is per event. If you and your boyfriend are frisky little rabbits and do it 1000 times in a year, there is about a 40% chance you will get pregnant.

Very, very little. You are well covered... Now the technical stuff. The reason you hear about people getting pregnant while on the pill or using a rubber is USER ERROR.

If you are on the pill, but are inconsistent about taking it, the slight chance of getting pregnant increases. If you are taking certain kinds of antibiotics, they can make the pill useless (for the duration of taking)

If you let him put it in for a little while and then use a condom "at the end" - you are opening yourself up for a surprise. (Guys leak, no matter what they say, at some small level, sperm is making out when they have an erection.)

Now, all that being said, you'd have to be REALLY, REALLY inconsistent, on the pill, having a TON of semi-protected sex and hit the very right moment and set of circumstances within your body.

PS- if you are asking this because you are late - don't worry, stress and other things can delay menstruation. (I wasn't consistent until late in my 20's

The pill then gives a 0.01
and the condom gives a 0.05
probability of pregnacy for each method independently.

Therefore assuming independence of the effectiveness the probability is 0.01 * 0.05 = 0.0005 or a 0.05% probability.

The mathematical probability is:

1/100*5/100= 5/10000= 0.0005

or 5 people out of 10000.

The real world answer varies according to age, medications taken, and following directions.
individual results may vary :)
