This winter she wants me to try something "younger," less stodgey, but of at least the same quality. Any suggestions?

I don't think a wist-length football jacket or leather bomber would really fit the bill as a substitute for a full-length raincoat over a suit and tie in the streets of Manhattan... but thanks anyway!

i know its hard cause its your wife, but maybe you should tell her to stop tellin you what to wear and how you should be.
the question is..do YOU like your raincoat? if YES. dont change
the raincoat is on YOUR body and its your decision.
and why does she want u to try something younger? does she want u to look younger?

Burberry raincoats tres magnifiquet!
Don't change just because she wants you to. If you want to look younger the best thing to do would be to pair the entire raincoat thing with some nice hair (it's amazing what a good haricut can do) and sunglasses.
If you insist getting a new raincoat, I suggest you try some raincoats from Burberry's new collection.

Styles change over the years, and a 5 year old raincoat may need to be updated. My husband put his on the other day and I said "You're wearing that?" He said "You bought it for me!" I replied, "Yes, in 1980!" LOL!! So even if it's a good brand, it might look out of style and stodgey now, so it's time for a change! Stick with Burberry, just get a more current model!

Those are little more "younger" and trendy, but I still see nothing wrong with Burberry, but if you're wearing the same coat all the time I can see why your wife would be kind of annoyed. Switch it up a bit, If you can't give up Burberry, they do make different kinds of coats, try a duffle coat.

My husband wears a dallas cowboys jacket for the warmer days; a black leather bomber for colder days;

Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, and Marc New York are the hottest designers for this fall. I also found a Lacoste raincoat jacket for this fall and it was really really nice.

Your wife should be so lucky! Did you see the lady who said her husband wears a Dallas Cowboys jacket?! That is classic.
My suggestion to you would be to go to Banana Republic and let her pick something out. That way it is nice, but you don't spend too much money on it. You can wear it to please her but obviously you will return to your Burberry that you love so much despite what your wifey thinks.

You have to be the one to wear it. I say if it ain't broke, don't fix it. If YOU like Burberry, then keep wearing it. Perhaps try a different Burberry style.

try looking at what you wear now and thinck what would be a younger Version of what you wear if you waer a suit try a more radical colour or if you wear jeans look at a couple of catuloge for ideas of Different styes and trend
