For fiction Stephen King's Dark Tower series is a must! Amazing!!!!!! Also, anything by Ayn Rand (fiction and nonfiction teach about her objectivist philosophy.)
One nonfiction book that I really like is Band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose. It was interesting to watch the HBO series and then read the book. You learn a lot about the minor "characters" in the series in the book. Great read!!!

3 nonfiction: Bible, and I'm not too much into nonfiction, so I'm don't know anymore.
