everytime I am talking to somebody, they say they have to clean the rest of the house before their husbands get home from work, why?

To make it look like they actually did something all day?! Some women just like to keep a neat house for their husbands I guess.

If they are stay at home wives then they probably are expected to have the home clean. I know women have come a long ways from those days but that is still a big thought in the heads of most men these days. I work full time & my husband still thinks I have to keep the house clean - but honey that is ALL about to change.

Maybe that's part of the deal why men suddenly decides to get married! I mean, going home to a cleaner house is quite a relief after the hard day's work. My wife even scrubs kitchen tiles with Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Duo. Check out this site http://www.upkb.com/mrclean.php

because women know that there is nothing more relaxing than to come home to a clean house. My husband pays someone to clean my house, just to take part of the load off of me, because he knows it makes me feel better when it's clean, and it gives me more time to spend with him...

How would you feel after a long hard day of work to come home to a derty cluttered messy house I wouldn't like it. I think it's respectful. Personly i think if my job is my home I'll take pride in my job and have a clean home. If your not a house wife then i believe it's common ground you both pitch in or if you have the finances hire some one.

I would assume they say this so that their husbands don't think all they do is lay around the house and twiddle their thumbs. Instead of washing clothe, tending to the children, cooking supper and etc. Like we don't do anything!

that is a way of getting you to leave there house. my daughter had someone say that, then after she left she realized the girl wasn't even married

Because they don't want their husband to think they have been on the lounge all day watching Days of Our Lives or Oprah, etc.
