Ok, I'll try to describe it as best I can. It looks a lot like a box elder bug only a little bigger and without the red markings. Its brownish black with long antennae (feelers?) and it flies. Its found in the Northwest of the U.S. and when you squish it even just a little bit (my puppy did it-he likes bugs) the whole room smells like leaves or plants. I keep finding these ugly things in my house and I'd like to know what they're called. I'll try to download a picture of it that I took yesterday. I just don't know where to post it to. (yes, I'm dumb. Don't remind me, k)

That's it--the picture of the leaf-footed bug looked exactly the ones I've found in my house. You're right, Its part of the hemiptera family! Thank you!
(the wheel bug looked very similar too but it didn't have the thorny looking back)
Thanks for your answers!
