Sure. Dragon thinks that's acceptable, as long as his costume and your costume go together appropriately.

Do people bring dates to Halloween parties? I thought it was the chance for everyone to dress provocatively and hook up. Haha. Anyway, why dont you dress really cute and go by yourself? It'll make all the girls hold onto their dates a bit tighter. Maybe bring some friends and dress as a theme?
Keep the poor dog at home- I'm sure a loud party wont make him happy.

No! Don't be ridiculous! If I was hosting a party and someone brought a dog, and the dog bit someone I would be responsible for the animal attack and liable for the medical bills. I'm sure the party's Host/Hostess doesn't want to risk a lawsuit so you will probably be turned away with your pet. So, you don't have a date. Big deal. Attend the party solo and mix & mingle with the other guests. You may even surprise yourself and end up having a good time.

No, please don't dress up your pet. Animals don't like being forced to wear a stupid little sweater, an idiotic hat, sparkly shoes, etc.
Would you like it if I took off your clothes and put you on a leash? No.
And no, I'm not an animal activist or anything. I just hate it when people do these moronic things to their pets because they think it looks cute. Meanwhile, the pets are thinking "just kill me now."
Go out and get a real date instead of SETTLING FOR YOUR DOG.
Sorry for being so harsh but it had to be said. Don't dress up your pet and make him look like something he's not, ok? Just think about how the pet feels before dressing the dog up like the next Mrs. America.

Sure you could take him... you could be Dorothy and he could be Toto... I'm not sure of him but just calling him Toto for the night would be enough. Then again you could dress him in a little suit and he could be your date :)
