A friend told me this last night. I couldn't believe the hypocrisy. If this is true, then UNION WORKERS everywhere should be outraged.

Well 'bad seed' you're not such a bad seed after all. My dad was a union worker for almost 30 years. He stopped voting Democrat when Bill Clinton arrived on the scene.

Seriously - To all UNION members---How could you vote Democrat if your own leader doesn't hire UNION workers ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Cmon Union folks, you're smarte than that. This party, the Democratic party, has been lying to you for years. Aren't you tired of being TOLD who to vote for???????????

namsaev - That's your point on hypocrisy. OK. But how about you stop avoiding the TRUTH. You have a choice.

Well Brooks, I spent about 20 seconds typing my question. Doesn't sound like alot of time to me. And regarding Dems or Reps, and which one will support union rights more, I say...There are far more important issues this time to contemplate. If these crazy despots, rogue nuclear countries, and terrorists have their way, well then we won't have unions to worry about, now will we.

sargeloda - Next time you choose to insult us, the republicans, it would serve you well to spell 'losers' correctly. Of course I say this with all due respect. If any respect is due!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT* - What?.. . . No visits from any Democrat that can even try and dispute the proposition. I know there's about a kabillion of them here. Times Up!

New Man Law -- -No Real Man Shall Vote for a Democrat... . . .So let it be written. . . . .So let it be done!

blah blah blah.... You've spent a lot of time demonizing the one major party that actually fights to defend unions in this country. Do you actually think that Republicans would do a better job of protecting the interests of union members? Come on... until you get a better option, I suggest you keep voting in your own best interest - by voting Democrat.

Nancy is a politician. And a career politician at that. Why should her hypocrisy be any different? The very things that got her elected are the things that should prohibit her from holding office.

The guy in the movie said it best, "Politicans are like diapers. They should be changed often and for the same reasons."

Consider this. Our own U.S. Congress voted themselves a raise. Many of you don't know that they only have to be in Congress one time to receive a pension that is more than $15,000 per month. And most are now equal to being millionaires plus. They do not receive Social Security on retirement because they didn't have to pay into the system.

If some of the military people stay in for 20 years and get out as an E-7, they may receive a pension of $1,000 per month, and the very people who placed them in harm's way receives a pension of $15,000 per month.

Now that is hypocrisy.

Typical , she talks out of either side of her mouth . Wants to elevate the minimal salary , understanding it approach an on the spot lift for unions , however cuts her fees by way of no longer hiring union staff . Bet, her wine , like the whole lot else she does , has a hefty cost tag .

"I couldn't believe the hypocrisy."?

I'm surprised at you that you're naive enough to think that a politician like Pelosi is above combining a little holier-than-thou with a little avarice.

The woman is corrupt through and through and I know this from living in San Francisco for 35 years.

Remember the old phrase used by politicians for many years: Don't listen to what we say, watch what we do.

Knowing Nancy Pelosi, I would not put it past her. DID YOU GUYS KNOW THIS ABOUT HER?:::::::::::Pelosi voted three times to make a convicted page sexual predator,
former Congressman Gerry Studds (D-Mass.), chair of a congressional committee.
In 1990, Pelosi voted against censuring Barney Frank for having his live-in boyfriend
run a prostitution ring from Frank's apartment.
Pelosi raised no objections when Clinton pardoned Democrat Congressman Mel Reynolds (Ill.)
who had been convicted of felonies for having had sex with a 16-year-old campaign worker.
The historic Nancy Pelosi is an authentic representative of San Francisco liberal values and hardly
has the record to lecture anyone on cleaning up the Congress. HOW ABOUT HER VOTING RECORD::::::Consider the following votes (all opposed by the vast majority of Americans): NANCY PILOSI VOTING RECORD
On July 31, 1996, Pelosi voted against the historic Welfare Reform Bill and later voted against its reauthorization;
On July 19, 2006, Pelosi voted against protecting the right to say "one nation under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance;
On Sept. 20, 2006, Pelosi voted against requiring that voters be identified so we could ensure only legal citizens are voting;
On July 13, 2006, Pelosi voted against requiring English on ballots;
On June 30, 2005, Pelosi refused to side with homeowners against the Kelo decision
that allows cities to seize private property for profitable ventures,
even though 365 members voted to stop cities from taking private property.
Pelosi has voted at least 12 times against the death penalty;
Pelosi was one of only 67 House members to vote against the 1996
Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA);
Pelosi has voted at least eight times against banning partial-birth abortion,
at least three times against the Unborn Victims of Violence Act (Laci's law),
and scored a perfect 100 percent rating from NARAL Pro-Choice America;
Pelosi voted against a bill that would "[b]ar the transportation of a minor girl
across state lines to obtain an abortion without the consent of a parent, guardian or judge;"
Pelosi voted at least 31 times for using local or federal taxpayer dollars to fund abortions; and
Pelosi received an "F" rating from the National Rifle Association.
