The themed shows that they are having now ( Like the Rod Stewert one last week), do you enjoy them? Do you think that it is boring, as everyone is singing the same type of song? Or that it is showing the contestants ability to sing different types of songs?

Not enjoying the themed weeks, everyone sounds the same and like last week, the rod Stewart week, I mean come on, most of the songs weren't even his and I didn't recognise most of them!!!! The first one, Motown, was broader so they could show different skills but oh my god!!! I wish they just went back to the old way of doing it. They could still have the guest but it doesn't mean they have to sing their songs! X Factor is supposed to be about the new talent, not promotion of a has been trying to come back!

It will tell if they have any talent at all, instead of only singing the songs they can cos they are karaoke singers.
Isn't that the whole point? Or is it just a popularity show where the judges can make money off them?

I think the themed shows are a total waste of time after all these signers will not be signing songs that have all ready been number ones or released by other signers. Let the contestants sign what they want and that way we will hear their true ability.

I am more interested in this show than last years, the contestants are far more exciting, all with great voices (except for the MacDonald Bros), and I like the theme and think its good for them to see the big star that still gets nervous in front of and audience and worried what the contestants think of them...

The X-element isn't all that extensive in the U.S. the only perspectives it did garner have been American Idol followers that needed a Simon/Paula reunion. Now, with Britney Spears, X-element united kingdom would not stand a guess. She's the biggest pop icon of the twenty first century.

I don't think it is fair, because if they are given the wrong sort of song, people will vote them off and they may be deprived the chance of staying on until there's a week when they get the right song for them. I suppose it's to show their adaptability, but frankly, I think it's boring and doesn't work.

It's crap.
One way for the judges to get rid on an act they don't like, pick a theme you know they can't sing.

No i dont think its a waste of time ,what its doing is testing there versatility, pushing them, and not letting them stick to a tried and tested level which they should be able to do with ease, this will show who the all round entertainers are,and that to me is what matters at the end. Not one trick ponies¡
