It is likely you suffer from a serious form of depression. It is important for you to realize that this is not reality - this is a disease that clouds your vision and makes you feel this way. There is medication that can help, and you should also find a counselor. Depression is a physical illness just like measles or a broken leg. But it is often caused by an emotional/psychological problem. The medication can take away your horrible feelings of despair that keep you stuck. The therapy can help you uncover what caused your feelings of depression in the first place. When you know what started it all, you have your power back to do something about it. Therapy/medication may not sound like an appealing option for you, though it sounds like you can afford it. But don't let stigma or fear keep you from a better life. Nothing is worse than depression. Can you imagine having peace about big things and feeling excited about small things again? If you get help and take care of yourself, you will.

The fact that you are alive and that you are on this site asking for advice means that ther eis a part of you that wants to be here...if you really did not want to be here then you would not be here. you think there is no purpose for you here but do you honestly think that you would be around if there was no reason for you to be? You are here for a reason, you might not see it now but in time hopefully soon you will realise that there is a reason why you are here and only you can fulfill that reason. Start doing something selfless each day...make it a point to one thing for someone else that you dont benefit from in some way and i tell you now, you will feel alot better because there is no greater feeling than knowing you made someone elses day!

There are organizations that can help: http://www.metanoia.org/suicide/depressd.htm, I would also highly recommend becoming a volunteer at a hospital it is devastating how little volunteers they have and the amount of reward it provides. Reading, walking, feeding or just talking to someone in a hospital can really change how you see life! You don't mention family, maybe now is the time to consider having one. Sounds crazy but having a future to look forward too can sometimes be just the ticket to waking up more optimistic, if you have a family remember they need you and plan to spend more time helping them with their future. Good Luck!

You are maybe suffering from depression, get out there and try something new, meet new people, talk to someone, everyone has down sad days, but they pass, it's just part of life, but try not to dwell on it, think of ways you can improve your life and make it more worthwhile and bring some excitment into it, take some flying lessons or go parachuting, there is so much new things to try, you don't have money problems so what's stopping you, just some suggestions good luck and try to look on the bright side of life.

What is so pressing that you would desire to think this way? To deprive yourself and others of your contributions to life and welfare of those around you. Why are you thinking so much about yourself and not others? Or, anything constructive. When you spend time on yourself, you tend to find too many negatives to hang up on... the imagination will continue making them compounded, until you are looking at mountains rather than mole hills. Give yourself a break and think of something a bit more pleasant. Continuing in this manner will deprive your brain of a pretty important chemical.. and again cause a compounding of the problem.

talk to someone at a crisis line or talk to a therapist. death isn't the answer. it only makes more problems. i've felt the same way at times, sometimes for months, but i keep going. you never know what may happen tomorrow that makes things seem better. try to not think about it so much. watch funny dvds. go out cycling or go out with friends and get your mind off it short term. but talk to someone and if they're an idiot, tell them (or don't) and see someone ELSE instead. one size (therapist) does NOT fit all.

what is it you want to escape? not money problems, ok, but what? lonliness? anger? injustice? sadness? what? when you find out what it is, try to deal with it. find alternative ways of dealing with it.

i read once that people who jump off a building change their mind by the 3rd floor. that can't be good to change your mind and it's too late to stop. and if it doesn't kill you you'll end up paralyzed or something and be much worse off than you are now. you'll have hospital bills and not be able to wipe yourself.

there's lots of reasons to keep living but only you know what the best reasons for you are.

if you kill yourself you'll leave a lot of people unhappy and wondering why you did it. you'll leave funeral home expenses, hospital or ambulance bills (as they try to help you), relatives fighting over your favourite things.

Please don't die. Not yet.

I would stay off here for a start - some people will make you feel worse with their cutting remarks.

The majority of the world DO have money worries - as you don't, you should count your blessings. You surely are better off financially than most, & even though I say myself that money does not bring happiness, it does make life easier.

You only get one shot at it mate - make it a good one :-)

I used to think about death. Suicide. But then people I knew started dying. This is something that kicks you in the gut. Dead. No more. Even if you are at peace with your death you have to remember its final. This is not like a movie or video game. No saves, no rewinds, no menu buttons to get us back where we started.
Think of those who've died needlessly. Think of all the soldiers over in Iraq who have died. All the young children who died of cancer. Would you kill yourself when they didn't want to die but did. They'd gladly trade places with you, jack. I don't want to sound angry or mean because people who commit suicide are usually in conflict or emotional pain and don't need more pain. Just be happy you have a life, so many don't any more.

When you think of death you feel better than what? You left out what it is that you are feeling. I suspect that you are feeling depressed. If so, there are very good medications for that these days. They don't make you feel "drugged," and they are not addictive; they make you feel normal. I know this because I've taken them. If you work closely with your doctor, they will help you out and cause no or few side effects.

Its the easy way out. So what u have money, that means absolutely nothing. What you do is talk to someone who is going through something worst than you.

Or, Go to the local Morgue or Moruary and see what you think about being lifeless for an eternity, or PRAY...
