When you hug someone is your head to the right of their head (ie on their lef shoulder) or vice versa?

This is a strange question...I guess I've never noticed. I'm thinking either....whichever the way the other person goes, you'd go the other way??!!

Left. Always.
Now, I can only speak for guys.
In the US, we shake hands with our right. Especially if you "bro hug", you follow up with a half hug.
Body mechanics dictate that holding right hands while hugging will make going to the Left necessary while hugging with the left hand.

It depends on weather or not i like that person,if i like them i tend to go in close and to the right. but if I'm just hugging someone i barely know or don't like them i keep a polite distance an go to the left. i think its some kind of subtle body language thing.

Usually when I hug someone my head is to the right. so then it would be to their left.

When I hug someone, my head goes to their right shoulder.
I never really thought of that until now.

I hug them on their right side meaning that they also put their head on my right side! Good Question! Made me think about it lol!
