Yes voting matters. Even if you assume that all politicians are corrupt, they will not all be equally corrupt, so you can choose the lesser of two evils. Elected officials really affect many aspects of our daily lives, so you should vote. Even if you are not crazy for a candidate, vote for the better of the two, and the world will be a better place.

Greetings!

Voting given the current political structure, is meaningless to up to half the country.
For example, have the Democrats in this country had any representation at all in the past six years? No, and if the table were turned the same would hold true for the Republicans.
Thus for voting to matter the type of government we have must be changed so more of the people in the country have some voice.
A parliamentary style would work fine here. Where each party had a proportion number of seats in accordance with the amount of registered members of that party.
At least it would assure you that once in a while you would get tossed a bone, not shocked and awed!

As far as crooks, yes, but you also left out perverts.

Good Luck

Yes. Voting really matters. We need to exercise that right if for nothing else we might lose it. Also, for most Americans, it is the only way to have any voice in our government. Some politicians are more crooked than others. Unfortunately, we are often stuck choosing the lesser of two evils. Please try not to cast your vote for an independent that has virtually no chance of winning - that can be a wasted vote.

This question has been asked so many times in the last couple weeks. I am sure it will be here even more often in the coming weeks prior the election.

Yes, it matters. Are you going to abdicate a right and a privelege to have at least a small voice in the leadership of the US? That is what you do when you don't vote.

While it is true that the majority (99.99%) of politicians are corrupt, and there is no difference between repukelican and democrap, voting is still very important. If you are a freethinking, responsible American citizen, obligated to neither corrupt poltical party, and are tired of the "choose your poison" or "lesser of two evils" we get during elections, then cast a protest vote. Show up...if you use levers then set the machine..MAKE NO SELECTIONS...and pull the lever. You will have voted and made no choices in this pseudo-democracy.

Of course voting matters. The "main agendae" of the different parties have become quite polarized; it will make a difference which party is in power.

And it's not just national elections; there are lots of local issues and candidates on your ballot that deserve your consideration and vote.

Yes voting matters. Not ALL politicians are crooked, especially at the local level.

You vote because you understand the issues and the people's stance on those issues who are running.

Now go get yourself familiar with the issues and VOTE.

voting would matter if people got out and did it. Unfortunately, too many people sit around saying voting doesnt matter and we end up with a small group of people who cannot possibly represent the whole of a country making the descisions for everyone. In this country it tends to be the senior citizens. So I guess that voting really matters to them, since they are pretty much the majortiy of voters.

Hate to confess i could. If the little one-kisser's techniques and plans are for the non violent existence of human beings on our planet earth. I actually have a feeling gay politicians does no longer start up wars yet unfold the message of love and peace. on a similar time as there are easily no longer any wars then innocuous lives of babies could be stored and am particular even God loves the perception.
