why does my mom not tell me she is getting remarried it has been 10 almost 11 years since the divorce?

My mom is getting married to this guy, a drunk. my father has finally found a nice respectful woman with 2 children. my previous stepmother was kind of contolling if you know what i mean.....

or are you saying why isn't she getting married after so many years?

Your parents are people with a need and desire for love and intimacy. Just because it has been a long time since her previous marriage doesn't mean that her feelings have gone away. She has found someone who she loves and who loves her and she wants to take her relationship with him to the next level. If you are upset by this, talk to your mom about how you feel and your concerns. She will understand.

Thats a very situational question, perhaps if the divorce was hard on you, she thinks it will upset you and doesn't want to hurt you. Again...not much info was given.
