As I said in your other query, Special interests run the Government.
I would love to see an on line vote without special interests to see what would happen.
I think half the people on line got a better grasp of reality then those dolts in office now.

It's called "who's your daddy!" politics. Our politicians are exactly that politicians. The statesmen are too busy working to keep food on their tables to try and run for office.

It's why though there is a smoking ban in New Jersey you can still smoke on the casino floors in Atlantic City. It's why Rick Santorum is against illigal immigration but has a website in Spanish. It's why Bush fights this war with his hands tied instead of letting the military do their job.

It is not about the people anymore only job security, cashmoney, and party prowess. And yet we still vote for Republicans and Democrats because we are too scared to leave the institutions that we were raised in despite the fact that both parties do nothing but take advantage of us.

Because "Americans" don't have the money to support any candidate's campaign. The only people that can afford to finance a big campaign are businesses and special interests. Politicians just pay back the people that got them there and they don't see that as their constituency.

Bottom line, politicians don't care about you, me or America, they care about themselves.
