sit ups really dont work your abs.The best way to loose layer off of your abbs is to maybe eat well, do simillar based workouts based on sit ups,and just relax.Trust me I've been there,but look at me now im the #1 BodyBuilder!!!!!! Never give up!

First of all, it's impossible to "spot reduce" fat. You can't just aim at an area and say "I want to get rid of that!"
However, if you do more ab work, that layer of fat is just going to stick out more. The only way to work on that layer of fat over the muscle is diet. Good luck, my friend.

Crunches or just go buy a Fast Ab Pro it works excellent and is only 80 bux at a place like Sams Club or Cosco.

sit ups dont really work because you can use your legs for primary support but id say a professional work out machine and the ab lounge actually does work by the way haha....or a power aerobic video

Crunches my friend. But you gotta realize, some people, no matter how muscular or athletic they are, may not have defined abs or sixpack.
