I agree with you - I hate it when I get a thumbs down on what I considered to be a relatively good answer!!! I take it personally & I get peeved!! lol

Sometimes it is necessary to give a thumbs down, like to those people that post the same comment over and over and it has nothing to do with the question.

No. They're just voicing their opinion. If they think the question/answer is bad, they are allowed to rate it as such. In my opinion, your question sucks, and that's why I gave it a thumbs down. Now, you're probably going to flag me for abuse or rate my answer as thumbs down (LOSER) because you like to have your way and if anyone disagrees with you, you label them a loser (LOSER).
