I think so.. The 'ol gov. has this puter deal figured out. Sounds like your dealing with child support. Must be nice.. to be able to suspend ones license to collect money. Can I do that also??

Your license is issued in one state but it applies to the whole country...ALL aspects of it do. Just as it allows you to drive in other states, the suspension applies in other states. Also...it still exists. If you have a suspended license, getting another would be like applying for two drivers licenses.

It might be possible to apply for a license in another state, but 40 plus states are members of the Drivers License Compact (DLC) which requires members to share driving record information.

negative, ghostrider, the pattern is full. When you apply for a driver's license in another state, one of the first things they will ask for, aside from your date of birth and SSN, is your old driver's license. If you lie and say you don't have one, you are wasting your time, because once they enter your vital info, they can pull a 50 state driving record. Besides, it is illegal to posess more than one driver's license- I have to pay a rather stiff fine at one time for that...had one from Florida, Iowa, & Texas.

Yes. Your license is transferred from state to state, not granted anew. If it is suspended/expired in one state, it will be in the next also.
