My family has always had a red and gold Chistmas, but i'm getting married soon and i can't wait to pick my colors! (i'm thinking maroon, sea blue and gold/silver/bronze)...or all the jewel tones.

i'd also love to hear opinions, because i haven't fully decided yet.

My Christmases have always been every color. The color scheme you're talking about always looks Victorian to me. It can be very pretty though. I decorated my office one time with Blue and Silver, it was really cool looking. You can always do different themes in different rooms, if you can't decide. Congrats on your upcoming marriage and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

My Christmas through out the year have been very colorful. One year it was red and green ,then the other year it was silver and dark blue but it was the most beautiful colour of blue that you have ever seen. This year we will make the kids choose two colours and go with that. Here are a few colours that you can mix and match RED, DARK BLUE, SILVER, GOLD, WHITE, DARK SHINNY PURPLE,WINE,GREEN (all shades). these are colours that I like to see during Christmas in my home. All these colours you can get in light and dark and shinny.

We have had so many different designs but for a couple of years we have had 2 trees, one with white lights, large multi-colored lights and all felt ornaments and the other with white lights and all colors of glass only ornaments. None of the ornaments on the glass tree are plain balls...they are all different figural shapes and sizes. One tree we had once was all red and gold with silk poinsettias poked in here and there. It was really nice like a magazine tree but not really personal.

We dont really have a theme for our christmas tree. We have collected ornaments, random ornaments, for years and theyve added up and go on the tree every year. there are ornaments from glass crystal figures to plastic flipflops (lol). I am only fourteen, but when i go to college i plan to still keep tradition and have a christmas tree in my dorm. I think ill have my mom keep all of the ornaments, and instead buy a themed set. The blue and silver sounds lovely.. but i still have 4 years to worry about that lol

I don't have a color, I buy what I ever I like, and if it doesn't match oh well, I like it, no one has to look at it. I don't go for the color schemes, I figured I bought it I want to see it out every year.

That's cool though if you want to do that. Everyone is different and that is what I like. Good to see variety.

My color scheme for years has always been very rustic and country. Dark, warm greens, burgundy, tan, cream, bronze, and copper. I can't see it changing anytime soon, although last year I did add red cardinal birds and birch bark birdhouses.

I've always hated Blue lights for Christmas because it reminds me of sadness. But all colors are great.
