In public is a different story, but at my own home, not me, I should but I dont. Its my house, and I think that most people feel that they can flush their own toilets without disinfecting themselves. Am I wrong?

There are obviously germs and infectious material everywhere whether its your house,a public place or a hospital. However i personally don't always wash because
1.I'm a neat freak and germaphobe and Lysol and clean everything in my house everyday
2.if i didn't "touch" anything when i wiped,i dint feel that my hands are dirtier than they were before i went to the bathroom.
3.if you wash your hands constantly and they get dry and cracked, you are at higher risk to get infections or germs inside the broken skin. You could use lotion every time you wash but then your hands are all slippery and you cant open that damn jar that you are of course going to need to open the second you lube your hands.

Washing your hands is the number one way to stop infection from spreading but personally if I'm in my own home and its not going to affect anyone else and my hands didn't touch any body fluids, then no but if you blow your nose or cough into your hands then yes wash wash wash.

I'm kind of a germophobe, so I always wash my hands after I use the bathroom, no matter where I am.

I almost always do.. no one likes to spread urine and fecies! If I am sleeping and I wake up to pee and just go back to sleep then no.. only because the water on my hands wakes me up and I can't fall back asleep. Otherwise it's just habit.
