If you tell someone to be kind, patient and considerate are you; even to rude and obnoxious people that continuously try your patience. I get so angry at myself and guilty when I can't control my temper. An example, when you get out of church and your dangerously cut off by someone on their cell phone while driving, then you start to cuss em out in your head. lol I know you do this! Give me some of your examples too!

The best is watching people in the church parking lot. At the coffe clutch after church they are smiling and talking of their love for god and all of his flock. Then outside they are the wolves looking to mow down the flock with an SUV if they can't move fast enough. Yes, I try. I give and ask nothing in return and care for people I may have just met. But yes others do make it difficult to turn the other cheek when they abuse your actions.

I can say honestly that there have been times I have done that, to an extent, more likely have gotten upset, but I am not known for cussing, blowing up, etc. One thing that really helped me was a sermon I heard a while back. The message was simple. When you feel like saying something unmentionable (especially when driving) pray for that person that has offended you. It may only be a second or two of prayer, but everyone needs it, and it will help the situation in general. I have done that and boy has it changed my perception of the situations I am involved in. I highly suggest it to everyone. Prayers =)

This is one of the things I love about the Lord, he created us and knows us inside and out. He knows how easy it is for us to slip and is always there for us when we do.
I try to "practice what I preach", - to put into practice the things I learn from the bible.
My goal is to set a godly example for my children. I fall short a lot when I lose patience with them. At those times I have the opportunity to ask for forgiveness from them! A favorite prayer is that I will glorify God with my thoughts words and deeds....
And like you said, when you are in traffic or in public and someone is really annoying. My sister said just the other day, to remember that Jesus loves that person too and died for them as well. That makes it easier to handle those types of situations, (if I'm not so annoyed that I forget it!!!)
Psalm 106:3 How blessed are those who keep justice,
Who practice righteousness at all times!

I think now at 33..instead of having outbursts of rage...i try to put myself in other peoples place...be openminded cuz nobodys perfect...and its hard to throw stones when you live in a glass house...sometimes what we preach isnt always best for the others involved even though its best for us. Let's worry about ourselves and set a good example for others to follow..cuz nobody likes to be preached at.

I try my very best to practice what I preach especially with my daughter so she can know that she can always trust me. And, since i'm not perfect, when I mess up, I just apologize. (no, no cussing people out though)

I usually practise what I preach, except in one area - taking the time to listen to people and actually understand what they're trying to say. I get really mad when people don't pay attention to what I say and then interpret it wrongly. Unfortunately, I do the same thing myself, occasionally. I'm trying to remedy this.

Which Doctor gave the first example and the best. What knuckle draggers went and gave him thumbs down for it? They deserve a good spanking.

I absolutely do not practice what I preach I think it is better to tell others how to live and how to be better people.
I love to hold others to higher standards than I am willing to meet or exceed.

I preach what I preach and I practice what I practice.
I would hope people follow their religions though..
My preaching is just momentarily when someone is doing something that annoys me. If I annoy someone they are free to preach at me.
