I support Italy as well and so do many other intelligent people in this forum!

They didn't play against my country England so I can't really answer your question.

By the way is that you in your avatar?
Because if it is,beware of a French fan called Touzours in this forum,he'll be after you faster than you can say 'Italy World Champions'!!!

Well, I'm pretty sure that Italy won't have to face Canada in terms of football anytime soon... And, of course, Canada didn't qualify for the 2006 FIFA World Cup. I also support the Netherlands, but they didn't face Italy in the tournament either, so no, the teams I supported didn't play against my own country. =)

Spain seems a solid contender, and being the host, Germany should not be ruled out the two. If Argentina performs greater efficient than final evening, they could have a great gamble as properly, and there is of course continually Brazil, in spite of in the event that they have not inspired me especially so a procedures this time around. P.S. i've got not got a generic team (and my united states did no longer qualify for the finals this time).

I'm Australian too with an Italian/ Croatian background!!!! When The Socceroos played Croatia and then Italy I always supported Australia first and foremost. In the final I supported Italy... not an easy thing to do at 4 o'clock in the morning!!!

Hey Pinky
Well of course I was supporting Australia and was really proud of their efforts. After their elimination I just took it game by game and supported the team I thought were the better side. But hey plenty of people support countries other than their own. Football transcends borders and boundaries

i support italy and usa citzen (im born there) i worried about the first round game in the group of death-(italy,usa,ghana,czech )....italy vs usa eeeeek! and they played to 1 to 1 tie how relieving .. eventually italy cheated death (not cheating the soccer games the french people usually accuse) to championship win!!!
