It looked pretty sticky unlike dirt. So I really do think that Kenny Rogers did use pine tar.

Pine Tar, but let's be realistic here, Kenny wasn't the only cheater on the field that night. Why else would LaRussa not make a big deal about it.

It was pine tar. He's a jerk and now a cheater. The funny thing is that he didn't even need it.

take a baseball, throw it, now rub some dirt on your hand and throw it, huge difference and itll bug the hell out of you, there is no way you cant notice it, plus the way his change up was acting was irregular even if he was the greatest pitcher ever which hes not

Who cares. They didn't find out. They never will. No one other then the people in Detroit's dug-out will know what was really there. The point is, he was still amazing after the substance was removed from his hand.

it was not pine tar. scienitific evidence has proven that tim mccarver and joe buck doctored that photo to create a diversion from low ratings the real reason the ratings are so low is because tim and joe are lousy announcers it is a well known documented fact no one likes tim and joe tim and joe are really bad and need to lie and cheat to make them look good
