She killed her sister because she wanted to see the man again. The man may have been a family friend she did not know and figured if she was at another funeral she would have another chance not to get his name.

I have been sitting here for fifteen minutes reading your question. I must admit I cannot come up with an answer. Usually I can make something up, but my mind just won't do it. The only thought I have is you say it is her mother's funeral, not just "a funeral".

SOOOOOOOOOO, let us say the sister was involved with this very attractive guy. The sister discovers her mother is also playing with him and refuses to give him up. He must be a professional trainer at their club. The sister goes off on the mother and kills her. The daughter that meets the guy at the funeral finds out about the sister. She is already deeply taken with the trainer guy and cannot allow her sister to have him. She kills the sister. Three days later the trainer drops the daughter for someone else and moves on. The daughter is not sorry for what she did because the guy was wonderful in bed. She immediately goes across the city and joins another health club.
She is a bit concerned about what what she will do for the holidays since her mother and only sister are dead.

O.K. I really NEED TO KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION. You are going to post it aren't you ??!!

I believe she killed the sister because if the "man" was at the mothers funeral then he must know they family in one way or another and she was in hope that the man would show up at her sisters

She discovers that her sister was involved in a twisted plot to get her to kill their brother:

She had heard the classic riddle you just put forth, but with the brother dieing at the end, not the sister. The sister decides to pose as the "Attractive interesting man" in order to provoke the murder of the brother she deeply hated (for whatever reason) but was to afraid to kill.

The woman finds out and becomes very angry, murdering her sister in a fit of passion.

Because her sister left with the guy, and she became insanely jealous when she found out 3 days later.

Because she is emotionally distraught and mentally unstable. What does a man at a funeral have to do with it?

maybe she hoped he would come to her sisters funeral so that she could get laid?
