We'll see in November....
Its not just I don't like Bush--
Its-- The R's have had control for too long and its time for a change. If the R's have done so well, then why is our deficit sky-rocketing? Why are the majority of scandals R associated?
Why is it that after being mislead about going into Iraq, that all those policies and tactics failed miserably? Every decision about Iraq has been wrong-- going in, execution, running the country, etc.
No progress or leaderhip on domestic policy-- nothing (well, except for tax cuts--like 4/5 years ago). Its all been about Iraq and war on terror. That's not a way to lead the country.
We have a congress that rubber-stamps the will of the president. They're supposed to be a check and balance. They are his toadies, lackies, lap-dogs, sheep-- pick one.
Congress has done next to nothing-- they will work about 100 days this year.
The "uniter not a divider" party has divided this country immensely. It is time for a change-- all incumbants need to go. Both sides.

Well, you may well be right. I hate Bush is not a good reason. However the erosion of the Writ of Habeus Corpus (at Bush's request), the falsification of evidence to invade Iraq, the shamble resulting from invading Iraq with no plan to protect the infrastructure (or any other plan that I can see), the continuous litany of fear as opposed to other presidents who actually gave us an image for a brighter future, the nonstop divisiveness following the unprecedented unity after 9/11, and the tendency to always blame others for his mistakes, those seem like pretty good reasons to me.

Other reasons to vote for Democrats for the House and Senate is to change the balance of power in Congress, reestablish the system of checks and balances between the executive and congress, speed up the end of the Iraq war, and implement recommendations of 9-11 commission that have been largely ignored such as securing our ports, borders, nuclear facilities and chemical plants against terrorists using the National Guard.

thanks for the wakeup call. we will try to vote for good reasons and not just because we "hate" bush, as you say.
such as
foley pervert coverup
abrahamson corruption
tom delay crook
duke cunnigham scandal etc etc etc
no legislation of note
reducing civil rights
attacking constitution
bleeding coffers
favoritism in contracts ( no bids)
lying to go to war
not chasing bin laden
not giving troops proper gear or support for their families
running up deficit
paying for war by borrowing money from china
giving special tax breaks to most wealthy americans
etc etc
many of us actually like georgie. he is cute like howdy doody.
we just do not want his programs to continue as he is messing up bad. sorry

That's not the reason. I don't understand why everything has to be so polarized. Just look at where the "you're with us or against us" attitude has gotten us. A country that's truly divided against itself.
Ya, that's waaay better for us.

Everything is all predetermined. Even if you do vote for the candidate of your choice, somehow they will cheat and put their man into office. Absolute power corrupts absolutely!

i agree. "i hate bush" is no reason to vote liberal. however, the republican party as a whole has been relatively unimpressive thus far and i think it might be time to give the democrats a hand at running the govt.

well gee, the guy recently suspended habeas corpus for noncitizens, he can "interpret" the geneva convention, spy on/search/arrest/torture anyone who criticizes him without a warrant...
And what's he suggested to solve the oil crisis? "BUY A FOREIGN CAR, IT HAS MORE MILEAGE!"
