He was a waiter I think. Before that he had encountered her without realising when he was a doorman of a hotel. (when she was meeting the owners son.)

He used to be a doorman for a hotel. The hotel was owned by a man whose son was set up with Sun. It turned out he already met an American woman he was in love with and Sun was a little bothered by it. The day he quit/got fired from his job at the hotel, he ran into Sun. Sun then later had an affair with the son of the hotel owner while Jin was working for her father.
I'm sure that was too much detail but hope it helps!

Kind of cheap trickery. But I knew they were doing it all along, since there were only 6 survivors, so either Jin or Sun was not a flash forward. But I don't think he's dead. Remember the o6 told the media that they were the only survivors. So it stands to reason that someone at some point would put up a tombstone for Jin. I assume the storyline is going to involve the o6 people going back to the island eventually to find the rest of them.

He had been a doorman at a hotel, one where the marraige arrangers were trying to set up the son with Sun. He quit when the manager told him he should not have let a small child use the restroom because "he is like you". Then, you see him as a waiter at a party given by Sun's father. That's when he gave her the flower.

He was a doorman at the hotel where the man her family wanted her to marry worked - or he may have owned it.
I mean the man her family wanted her to marry owned it - not Jin!

He was a doorman at a posh hotel, but he did some bad things, died in a plane crash, and now he's in purgatory, which is kind of like a waiting room for hell. Nice scenery though.

He stood by the door of a big hotel, spotting stray dogs for his brothers' restaurant,he'd then kick them in the balls, bag them up and they became tomorrows lunch.Or was that just my imagination?they must have put that in the outtakes.
