yes B'ham has some of the best hospitals in the south. I know Trinity medical, UAB, and brookwood used to as of last year so maybe you should call them

What kind of birth do you want? Hospital, birth center or homebirth?
Talk to your caregiver and find out if s/he attends waterbirths. Find out if the hospital or birth center near you has birthing tubs or would allow you to bring a rental tub to install.
Talk to doulas or childbirth educators in your area.
