I have a really good guy friend who wants me to go to Louisiana and spend Thanksgiving with him and his family. He is in a relationship and so am I. His mom and the rest of his family love me and i totally adore them. I just dont know how to bring it up to my man and if he is even going to let me go. I dont want to start a huge fight. My boyfriend is going to Arizona for Thanksgiving so would I even have to tell him the truth about were I'm going? I'm not a person to lie so I don't even know if i could do that. I just really want to go but I dont want to upset him either.

Explain to him that you are not just going with your guyfriend but with his family, so you are visiting a family and there is nothing wrong with that.

But if he says no, then don't cause its a guy friend and this can lead to suspicions and ruin your relationship.

Have a good time and hope he agrees.

Talk to your sweetie about it. Tell him that you got invited and how does he feel about it. Make sure he knows that your friend has a girlfriend and knows that you have a boyfriend. Talk about your relationship with his mom and family.

Maybe he will be able to be comfortable with it and you can go with a clear mind.
It would be an insult to the relationship that you want to have, to be devious to get what you want! That is an immature thought and a sign that you are not prepared at this point to be in a committed relationship.
In general it is inappropriate to maintain such a strong connection with another guy and actually sleep at his family's home. You may remain friends , but both of you should be totally focused on your mates.
It is understandable that your boyfriend may not be happy at your plan. His feelings should have precident. If he has not met your friend, it will help for the two couples to get together and get to know eachother. You may have to postpone this trip until that can happen in order to respect your boyfriend and the relationship you have with him.
